Chicken Soup for the Common Cold

Because that’s what I seem to have. 😦

Four days to go an I have the whole package – sore throat, runny nose and a fever. (Let me tell you, I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself now.)

I’m doing everything I know to get better as soon as possible from numerous pots of freshly grated ginger tea with lemon and honey to spicy foods to a whole lot of citrus fruit to chicken soup.

I’m keeping warm, and crossing my fingers. Watching old episodes of The Office in bed with my cat sleeping on me seems the best right now. 🙂

I also did my final prerace run today.

Yes. With a sore throat and a runny nose. I didn’t have a fever though when I headed out. That popped up again in the last two hours.

I guess the run was a last ditch effort to shake off the sneaking cold.

As that didn’t work, I shall emerge once I feel better. And that had better be no more than a day or two! -.-

  2. The timing sucks! BUT – it could be worse – it could have hit you a day before! So just chill out, rest & recover and in 4 days you’re legs will be rested and you’ll be ready to go.
