Week Ten Recap and Yet More Snacks

28 degrees in the shade.

I miss spring.

It was fun to be running today while there were girls in bikinis guzzling down water and getting their tan on near the grasslands.

It seems like in the last four days, nature’s decided to do an interlude to summer with the day heat and the evening thunderstorms and the trees blossoming and the intense aroma of blooms in the air.

I’ve sunburn.

But it should be back to 15 degrees and rain (aka regular Estonian spring) next week.

I did a 5km run today which felt more like 15, I was so overheated.


Even the trees are not so leafy yet as to offer much relief.



But at least it has been a really cheerful weekend. 🙂

After a shower and some lunch I made my weekly stock of snack bars:


Apricot-Walnut Snack Bars (makes 12)

120g of walnuts
100g of oatmeal
100g of raisins
150g of dried apricots
1 ts of cinnamon
A bit of salt

Blend. Blend. Blend. Cut up, wrap individually and store in the fridge.

These are the chewiest, most moist ones I’ve made yet. 🙂

I ended my day with a long walk with my siblings and lattes at an outdoor café. Quite fatigued from all the sun.

Overall, an excellent end to an excellent week.

And here is Week Ten in numbers:

Tuesday – 17km
Thursday – 5km
Saturday – 7km
Sunday – 5km

Total of 34km. Hopefully next week will end with a total of 39km. Or that’s The Plan, anyway! 😉
