A Breather

In honour of the Spring Holiday (and thus not having to work) I met up with my sister today. We took our bikes to the same route I ran yesterday.

A nice, leisurely ride with more chatting than biking.

Despite the lovely sunshine, the weather still had that distinct chill to it which made me glad of my woollen gloves and regret the lack of a hat.

We recorded some signs of spring though. 🙂  The trees might still be bare, but…

…the ground is coming to life.

It was kinda funny that it took us a lot longer to travel the route I usually run in under an hour. We actually had several runners (and cyclists and rollerbladers) zoom past us. 😀

On your off days, do you sometimes feel jealous of runners? I mean,  I was outside enjoying the fresh air, I’d ran yesterday, I know I’m going to run tomorrow… And every time we saw yet another runner, I so very much wanted to leave my bike then and there and just. Run.

I tried to explain it to my sister, but I’m afraid she just thinks I’m a bit insane. :p

  1. You should not be ashamed of your love for running! Non-runners don’t get it, but we do! I love running… if I could I would marry it (no I am not Pee Wee Herman) but you get my point. I love it and I am NOT ashamed… you shouldn’t either. Keep going what you are doing! 🙂
